Listening to Joco is like diving at sea.
After the eyes got used to the dark, you can see the wonderful grey of the ocean. The silence starts to sing and leads weightless through the world that has so much new to discover.
„A fish at the bottom of the ocean, there’s a city people don’t know it exists. You will never see it, only if you are a fish.”
Inspired by their home, the wide north of Germany, the sisters Cosima and Josepha tell about escaping to the nature or they invite to look at the world from a new angle of view.
The sophisticated piano parts and the perfect singing in two always create new colors of tone.
Together with Stefan Schneider (drums), Christian Hengst (bass) and Jens Weber (guitar) they originate a breathing band sound that forms popmusic with Nordic charme and jazzy sounds.
Live on stage, the audience can discover a lot. Joco loves to experimentalise.
They’re searching for extraordinary locations to play live, for example in a mysterious attic, in a living room of an orange passive house or soon in one of the oldest and smallest castles of Ostfriesland (GER).
In February 2012, Joco is going to record their debut album. Probably on the bottom of the sea.
